By car, Laurel Island is 35 minutes to downtown Jacksonville, 25 minutes to Jacksonville International Airport, 5 minutes to I-95, 40 minutes to Jekyll Island, 45 minutes to St. Simons Island, 45 minutes to Sea Island, 25 minutes to Amelia Island, 10 minutes to the St. Marys waterfront, 55 minutes to Ponte Vedra Beach, 90 minutes to Savannah, and 75 minutes to St. Augustine.  By boat, Laurel Island is 20 minutes to the Intracoastal Waterway, 20 minutes to Cumberland Island, 30 minutes to St. Marys, 35 minutes to Fernandina, and 50 minutes to Jekyll Island.
